Call for papers

2020/05/01

Dear EPQU’2020 participants!

The organizing committee strives to meet the IEEE requirements to be able to publish your work as intended in the IEEE Xplore.

Due to the IEEE requirements, we decided to enable speakers to present papers during online meetings. We will propose dates for online presentations in groups of several papers. The order of presentation will depend on sending of the final versions of articles after correction. We ask you to send back final versions of papers after taking into account the comments of reviewers as soon as possible.

At the same time, after finalization of the review process, which we hope will take place at the turn of May and June, it will be possible to prepare extended/changed versions of your work for journals (e.g. Energies – EPQU2020 Special Issue or Priodica Polytechnica Electrical Engineering and Computer Science indexed in Scopus). There will be also a new possibility of publication in the Przegląd Elektrotechniczny (http://pe.org.pl) after minor changes (with EPQU reviews).

Preferrential topics

The conference scope contains scientific, technical, economical and legal problems of electrical power quality and utilisation in both AC and DC networks. The topic concerns utilities and all electrical energy customers: industrial, commercial and residential. The conference aim is to provide a forum for electrical engineers and scientists to present their work and share experience in the area of power quality and utilisation.
Papers or presentation are welcomed in one of the following preferential topics (the list is not exhaustive):

  • Power quality parameters
  • PQ standardisation
  • Methods of power quality analysis, Modelling and simulation
  • Power quality measurements: techniques, instruments
  • Methods of power quality improvement
  • Power quality in competitive electricity markets
  • EMC in electrical engineering
  • Economic framework for power quality
  • Influences of disturbing loads on supply networks and other electrical devices
  • Reliability and continuity of supply
  • Power quality in grids with distributed generation and renewable energies
  • Energy efficiency
  • Education

These topics concern utilities and all electrical energy customers: industrial, commercial and residential. The conference aim is to provide a forum for electrical engineers and scientists to present their work and share experience in the area of power quality and utilisation.
There are two ways to actively participate and contribute to the value of EPQU’20 conference. One is to submit technical paper documenting field experience and solutions in the area of power quality; the other way is to submit relevant slide presentation along with a short text informing about its main theses.
All papers and presentations will be reviewed by a group of experts. Those that receive positive feedback will be published in the conference proceedings.
NEW: Selected, especially valuable papers will be graded to receive proper credentials and after presentation during the conference they can be published in Energies Special Issue (IF2,707) as well as Priodica Polytechnica Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (indexed in Scopus). The organizers are in talks with the editors of other magazines.
The conference will be conducted in English. Presentations in Polish are also possible. The organizers provide simultaneous translation in both languages.

Paper submissions

Authors are asked to use the IEEE template for their papers:
conference-template-a4_-_KP2.docx. The paper must be 4 pages or 6 pages long, written in English.
Information for Polish authors: please prepare your presentation in English (simultaneous translation will be provided between Polish and English, bidirectional).

Other templates (e.g. Latex) can be downloaded directly from IEEE page: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html

According to the publication rules of IEEE, authors will have to sign IEEE Copyright Form with eCF.

All papers for publication in IEEE Xplore must be presented.
All papers will be reviewed by two members of the Scientific Programm Committee and other invited reviewers.

Information for authors (2020-02-27): after review of your paper, please send your paper according to IEEE Xplore rules described in our instruction below:
